Course Overview

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped.

This nationally accredited CPR course provides the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to

  • Provide CPR life support in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines
  • Management of a casualty; and
  • Management of an incidence and other First Aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

This is the perfect course for those who need to do a refresher or are required you to have a CPR certificate for work

Mixed mode- All students in this course must complete 2 hours of face to face training, which includes:

- Group activities

- Training in simulated environment

**Please note it is a requirement of this course that practical demonstration of CPR must be performed on the floor.** ​ Prior the start of the unit, students will be instructed to complete the 4 hours of online or Learning Guide (book/Online) study and Student will complete online/Paper assessment before they attend Practical Session.

Course Fee:
The CPR course costs $30.00 includes all training, assessment, workbook and nationally accredited certificate.

Note: All participants must provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI) before enrolling in and attending their course. Please note that you will not receive a Statement of Attainment for your course until you have supplied your USI.

Validity: This module is current for 12 months and must be renewed annually.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - There are no pre-requisites for this course except
Applicant must be 18 years or older.
Applicant must be a domestic student, not an International student.
A preliminary Language, Literacy and Numeracy test can be conducted at Hope Training College of Australia to assess the skill level of the applicant at the time of admission if the student is not refreshing his/her existing qualification.
